July 28 - International Tiger Day🐯

Today we will tell you about the striped predators of our planet.🙂
😥There are less than seven thousand tigers left in the world. At the moment, without exception, all tiger species are listed in the Red Book, and hunting for them is prohibited all over the world.

👀The pupils of tigers are not vertical, like domestic cats, but round.

🥩To maintain vital activity, a tiger needs about twice as much food as a lion. An adult tiger eats up to three tons of meat per year.

💙All white tigers are blue—eyed.

😡With the help of roars and rolling growls, tigers communicate with each other at a great distance. Angry tigers never growl — they hiss.

🗣The voices of tigers and the location of the stripes are as unique as human fingerprints.

Today there are 6 tiger species living on Earth: Amur tiger, South China tiger, Indochina tiger, Malay tiger, Sumatran tiger and Bengal tiger.

Tiger Day can be celebrated at various events. For example, both in the Minsk Zoo, where an informative and entertaining program with animators, photo zones, etc. will be held on 29.07, and at home, watching videos about the life of tigers in the wild.
