April 28 is Ferruccio Lamborghini's birthday

Ferruccio Lamborghini is the founder of an automotive empire that produces sports cars with legendary recognizable features. Coming from a modest family of farmers, the Italian businessman put a lot of work into making his surname eventually associated with luxury, style and exorbitant speeds.

Interesting facts about Ferruccio Lamborghini.

🎖️During the Second World War, Ferruccio Lamborghini was stationed on the isolated island of Rhodes as the Chief of Vehicle Maintenance of the Royal Italian Air Force. It was quite difficult to get spare parts, forcing Lamborghini to collect the wreckage to keep their cars running. He quickly earned a reputation as a master mechanic and an even more prolific craftsman.

🚜The first Lamborghini were tractors, and they are still being produced. Ferucio Lamborghini got rich selling tractors.

⚙️Lamborghini was founded because Ferrari used tractor clutches and poor customer service.
Ferruccio had a Ferrari 250GT. He gave it to the headquarters in Maranello for maintenance after he realized that the clutch was identical to the one used on his production line. He politely asked Enzo Ferrari for a spare part, to which he replied: "You're just a stupid tractor manufacturer, how can you know anything about sports cars?" Like any thoroughbred Italian, he spat on the floor, left and started designing his own sports car. Four months later , he introduced the Lamborghini 350GTV .

🤫The first Lamborghini didn't even have an engine when it was introduced.

The 350 GTV may have been the world's first Lambo, and it eventually led to the creation of the supercar genre, but when it was first unveiled at the Turin Auto Show, it wasn't finished yet, so they put a bunch of bricks where the engine was supposed to be and keep the hood closed all the time.

🐂Many cars are named after Spanish legends and bulls. And all because Ferruccio Lamborghini's zodiac sign was Taurus, and his passion was bull and bullfighting. The bull represented strength, speed and prestige for him, as well as an excellent response to the Ferrari logo with a prancing horse.
