What a bold and pompous character displayed by the name power! So full of pride and egocentric in tone. She is a role model that the young, old, rich and poor crave for her presence. Even to the weak, she breathes life.
Through a first-person narrative, the character describes herself as of high value when she refers to being "expensive," "highly admired", "highly-priced", and "never silenced!" This deeply drives one with the consciousness of wanting to know who exactly this is that stands on high ground referring to herself as "power".
It's even fiery how the character describes herself as a "demon" possessing fiery forces and "lacking love". The question "can I be purchased without gifting the demon I bear?" Places a high value on power. It’s not easy to get and no one has it. Some are even scared to bear it. That's why she asks, "Do you still want me?"
The character is even religious. She even calls herself "a holy evil to behold", which juxtaposes the intense description of power. She boldly asks "what can deactivate my nature?" and even answers, "No man! But the gracious almighty". Maybe, after all, power is a spiritual force that unveils miracles in people’s lives.
The persona did enough justice to bring out the power of power and how it’s expensive and not a gift for all men. This is impressive!
