Exclusive. MIDNIGHT interview
Hi everyone and this is «Podval» and the second to last and first in scale interview on our channel. During this interview we asked 15 questions to MIDNIGHT and got answers to all of them. This interview was published in 2 different languages, in the hope that it will be read not only by the developers and moderators of the game, but also by the foreign part of the players to draw some conclusions for themselves.
Let's get to the interview itself!
1. Why the official MIDNIGHT website has cheats for various games, but SCP:SL is not there, although MIDNIGHT has been in the game for a long time?
These are our friends; with their permission we use the MIDNIGHT brand.
2. According to our calculations, about 1 in 15 players is a cheater. Can this statement be true or is the situation much worse?
The figures will depend on the number of players in the selected period, as well as holidays or holidays in the same period.
Last summer our audience was ~1500 users per week.
With the average online for that period it is every 9th player.
3. Why do you think Northwood can't make a proper Anti-Cheat? Maybe they don't want to, they don't have money or it is profitable for them?
The developer of the game has already spoken out about this.
I can't find the exact quote, but the point was to spend all efforts to make sure that not a single spoofer works in this game.
4. What prevents the game from developing? Developers, VSR, DDoS, cheaters or is it impossible to develop this game?
The game developers themselves are making absolutely disastrous decisions for the game.
All the new SCP appeared for literally 2 weeks and were cut before the next holidays.
The game is going towards increasing CPU and video card load every year, losing a significant portion of the audience in the process.
Plenty of players will confirm that there used to be more FPS in the game. And even more will say that they don't play it anymore, because playing at 30 or less fps is very painful.
Is it worth reminding about the waves of false bans that are repeated every year?
5. Why did MIDNIGHT appear on such a rather unremarkable game?
Why unremarkable?
It is the most popular SCP-themed multiplayer game in the FPS genre.
6. Are there any other MIDNIGHT projects that aren't on the official site either?
I don't know about that.
7. If still in the game, what do you think is the dumbest thing about the servers or owners?
Sometimes I do. The basic two stupidities haven't changed in years.
1) Allow FF and ban for attacking on their own - I don't know what they are guided by when they come up with such a destructive policy.
2) Their methods of dealing with cheaters.
Why develop plugins that give false positives when you can do something like a trust factor.
It's a well-known fact that cheaters don't play on 1 account for long, they will never have a high trust factor on your server.
Giants like Epic Games (EAC), Valve (VAC) and others - never defeated cheaters, even with their budgets and capabilities.
But for some reason, server owners think they will beat cheaters.
8. Does midnight pay or give any perks to youtubers? (Like IndeFin, Zavarnik).
Of course, all testers and content makers get a subscription to all products for free.
And of course they are banned more severely than others and have to personally improve the spoofer for each of them.
9. What do you think of Ohayo! Mafia, SCP:SL Destroyers, SCP:SL Basement? (If you've heard of it).
Didn't follow the first two.
SCP:SL Basement is the only live Public about SCP:SL in telegram, but the author is still experimenting with content, can't say I'm ready to repost at least 1 of the last 10 posts.
10. What is the future of the game, and is there one at all?
I'm inclined to believe that the game has no future, they are clinging too much to the old.
The same people are making the same decisions as 2 years ago, what about bans and countering cheaters, what about the way of development of the game.
In order to shed some light on the game, they should fire all those people who give false bans SYSTEMATICALLY, that would be the first step to a brighter future for the game.

11. Is playing with cheats for fun or harming someone?
Everyone has their own reasons and motivation.
I know players who after false bans decided to play the game with cheats to spite the developers, so that the bans received were at least justified in this way.
12. What people from RU - Community would you not even communicate with?
For preventative purposes, you can stay out of contact with someone for a while, but no more than that.
Even if a person has made mistakes, they are usually foolish.
People usually get smarter, so I don't see any reason to ignore someone for a long time.
13. Which servers try to directly fight cheaters that the chance to meet them on the server is very small?
I don't want to advertise which specific servers most often receive complaints.
There are 2 or 3 servers whose owners are more disappointed in the game developers than others and decided to take control of the situation.
14. As we know MIDNIGHT collects or can collect information on its players, is this true or fiction?
We collect exactly as much information as the game developers collect.
This is necessary to keep the spoofer in working order.
Very often bans are issued for such stupidity, and there is no way to help a person without collecting the same information.
Example - a person has 3 languages installed on the keyboard - RU, EN, UK.
As it turned out, he is such a 1 on the entire game base SCP:SL.
To unban him, he needs to either remove UK language from the keyboard, or it should be spoofed to the usual RU, EN.
15. What's more expensive, me or a spoofer for a week?
Of course you are, since you made the contact yourself.
Spoofer on the contrary, to get round the obstacles when they don't want to have anything to do with you =)
