Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov brought the furry issue to the international level — at an official meeting, he asked his Armenian counterpart if there are children and teenagers in Armenia who dress up as animals.

Earlier, the Federation Council, Russia's upper legislative chamber, proposed banning furries. According to the sponsors of the ban, "quadrobers", the most recent iteration of the subculture, scare passers-by and bite them.
