Feedback on the Server Merge Balance (S1–S16)
We are writing to you on behalf of the active player communities of servers 1 through 16. While we support the initiative to merge servers to revitalize the game, the current pairings (2:1 format) present a significant competitive imbalance.
Key Issues with the Current Merge Plan:
- Extreme Power Gap: The difference between the strongest pairing (S7+S15 at 71.18B) and the weakest (S1+S8 at 38.93B) is nearly 82%. This gap makes fair cross-server competition virtually impossible.
- Overlooked Metrics: The current model appears to rely solely on total server power, ignoring critical factors such as:
- Active player count (daily online), rather than inactive accounts that inflate total power.
- Top 10 alliances' Battle Power, which represents the actual competitive core of each server.
- Arena and PvP performance data.
- Language group distribution, which is crucial for server communication and coordination.
Overall Battle Power Statistics Post-Merge:
1. S7+S15 = 71.18B. 2. S6+S13 = 65.56B 3. S3+S11 = 62.32B. 4. S2+S9 = 60.16B. 5. S4+S10 = 56.30B. 6. S16+S12 = 48.47B. 7. S5+S14 = 45.46B. 8. S1+S8 = 38.93B
- Temporarily pause the merge process to review and recalculate the pairings.
- Apply advanced balance measures: Utilize statistical inequality metrics (such as the Gini coefficient) and evaluate the power of active Top 10 alliances rather than total raw server power.
- Consider 3:1 or 4:1 mergers: This approach offers greater flexibility to smooth out power differences across the newly formed servers.
We value the game and want to ensure its long-term viability. A more balanced merge will benefit both the community and the game's overall ecosystem.
Sincerely,
The active community of S1–S16.
