When a man dies

When a man dies,
he hopes to see God

but his eyes
turn around in his skull

and the dark
that he sees within self

is a chance
to reflect upon death
one last time.

In heaven, no reason apply.

When men die,
as they hope to see light
dust become

all their thought and their why
but the prayer

turn around and implode
and instead

of the man meeting God
God meets man.
