When thinking about poetry, what comes to your mind? Phrases like To be or not to be and weirdly-behaving men dressed up in funny costumes?
I am the one who stars will count at midnight While you'll be only dreaming about them And I will count summers, springs and winters And every leaf from the top to the stem While you'll be walking about like blind I'll be quietly watching the time melting Only one law my heart will always follow For our love, I've learnt the law of waiting When there will be nothing left to be counted You'll find the path that leads to me, that way Is outlined with sand from our clepsydra It's broken, there's forever, and one day.
We all want to see another sunrise The sun's been burnin' skin all alive There's a knot in our gut Piercin' hunger within Mind refuse to obey We are lusting for meat. Body's bound to obey. Rifles up for a hunt In a fight against death Big devour the light. It's a constant to life: First you eat, then you feed. A poem by Ada Erman
