Biancolilla olive belongs to tall and frost-resistant varieties.
The yield of this variety is high, but changeable. But the oil yield is not great, but very high quality.
Despite the fact that this particular variety is considered to be the olive variety that produces little oil, it produces one of the lightest and tastiest oils.
Since the variety is resistant to diseases and pests, it is very often used as a pollinator.
For its pollination, the following varieties of olives are used: Moresca, Ogliarola Messinese, Tonda Iblea, Zaituna.
When ripe, the fruits are reddish-purple in color.
