Olea Frantoio

The Frantoio olive is one of the famous varieties. This variety is more related to trees than shrubs. Its growth is rapid and the crown has a more wild shape.

The variety belongs to frost-hardy olives and can withstand temperatures up to -10 degrees.

The olive is considered to be highly fertile. The tree is simply strewn with fruits. Fruits are medium in size, fleshy. It is one of the varieties most commonly used to make butter. The oil from this variety is of high quality and has a delicate fruity aroma. This variety is also used for pickling.

The variety is considered self-pollinated. But for a higher yield, it is still better to insure yourself with pollinators. For example, such varieties of olives are ideal as Pendolino, Maurino, Rosciola, Leccino. And the Frantoio olive itself is suitable for pollination of many other varieties.

The fruits are purplish-black in color, but like many other varieties, the harvest takes place even when they are green. Weight reaches 2-2.5 g and has an oval, slightly elongated shape.

The leaf has a blue-green-gray color.

A huge plus of this variety is that it begins to bear fruit at an early age.
