Olea Gioconda

This olive is very common in Sicily.

The tree has a spreading and dense crown.

Gioconda belongs to the high-yielding olive varieties.

The plant is resistant to bad weather. But it does not apply to frost-resistant varieties.

This variety is used for marinade. The fruit of the olive is of medium size and oblong in shape. The pulp is fleshy and aromatic. Has a little bitterness. But if you give the fruits of this variety to fully ripen, then the bitterness disappears. And the color of the olive turns black.

The fruit ripens from September to November.
