MOUNTAIN TOURISM
Khojaabad district of Andijan region is of special importance due to its convenient location for mountain tourism. The area is home to the Imam Ota shrine, the Jome Mosque and the Shahrikhansay teahouse, as well as the Manak Ota shrine, which is one of the most important tourist areas.
Among them is a shrine, which is worth mentioning. Pilgrimage complex "Imom-OTA" is located in the mountainous area of Tosh-OTA Khodjaabad district. The pilgrimage complex was named after Imam Muhammad Hanafi, who has occupied a worthy place in the Islamic world for a long time. Researchers P. Abdulagatov, V. Asimov in the book "Altyarik siachoque" and "Nebadonia" Muhammad Hanafee says that "the son of Muslim commander Hazrat Ali Muhammad khanapia (died 700), conquered Khorasan, for services to the people at the introduction to Islam, received the name "Khorasan-OTA", "Imam-OTA", so in this area there are the sights associated with the names Bobo Khorasan, Imam-OTA.
Imam Hanafi died at the age of 700. And his grave is in the city of TUS in the Persian Gulf. In narratives it is stated that he was raised by his mother and he died, not knowing her father. He set out looking for his father. After a small dispute, he has to fight with his brothers Imam Hassan, Imam Hussein and defeat them. Then his father Hazrat Ali fights him for a long time, and Hazrat Ali catches sight of the talisman he once gave Bibi Hanifa. So they find each other. However, learning that Hanafi fought with his father, considering himself guilty of disrespect, he left until he came to these lands and disappeared into the mountain gorge until the day of judgment. So he received among people name of “vanishing eshon” or “hidden eshon."
According to legend, Imam Hanafi entered the sacred cave and disappeared. In 1960, during the excavations of the age-old burial, it was hypothesized that this body of the Saint and his reburied.
In the documents, the names of Lutfullo Haya Sayyid Jamal Hoya indicate that representatives of the Imam dynasty of Hanafia professed Sufism, the Sufi way of Naqshbandi and thus achieved the status of saints. This gave them the right to ease human sorrows, to pass them through themselves. In this Holy place, infertile couples pray for a child. Visitors pray for forgiveness of sins. Those who were helped by prayers for the birth of children come to the Shrine and make sacrifices.
According to the data collected in a study conducted in 1982, the ancient building was with carved doors, in need of major repairs of the room of the XVIII century, the sanctuary was reconstructed Andijan Mahmudalibay in the late XIX century and renovated in 1959 and 1980. In 1982 it was accepted for state protection as an architectural monument.
