UV energy meter calibration

The UV energy meter is mainly used for light source detection on curing equipment. With the development of the industry, the curing light source is gradually converted from a traditional high-pressure mercury lamp to an energy-saving and environmentally friendly UV LED lamp. The UV energy meter that came into being has also begun to have the difference between the UV energy meter that professionally tests traditional mercury lamps and the UV energy meter that professionally tests UV LED lamps. In addition to the chaotic UV energy meter market, various so-called American brands and German brands are varied, so there has been a problem with the calibration of UV energy meters.
At present, the domestic market share of UV energy meters produced in the three countries of the United States, Germany, and Japan is still quite large. Relatively speaking, the instrument is also doing well, with good stability and long service life. But there is a big problem. UV energy meters produced in different countries have their own national standards, but the results measured by UV energy meters in different countries are also very different. This may be caused by the inconsistent spectral response of the calibrated light source or the instrument detector, or it may not have achieved international uniform standards. The so-called UV energy meters in the United States and Germany that are domestically copied are not to mention, and the UV energy meters produced by the same company may have different data. What is the detection standard of the UV energy meter? Currently in China, there is a national standard for the calibration of traditional mercury lamps, so the UV energy meter for professional testing of traditional mercury lamps can be sent to the National Institute of Metrology for testing. At least in China, we can achieve unified standards. In addition, there is no national standard for the UV energy meter for professional testing of UV LED lamps, so it can only be calibrated according to the manufacturer's standard. At present, there are not many manufacturers of UV energy meters that specialize in testing UV LED lamps, but it is very important that the calibration standards of the manufacturers are unified. Although there is no national standard, the consistency of instruments from the same manufacturer must be very good. Therefore, there is a national standard for the calibration of UV energy meters. There is no doubt that it is based on the national standard. If there is no national calibration standard, it can only be done according to the manufacturer's calibration standard. Of course, it must be a reliable manufacturer's standard, which can ensure consistent manufacturer's calibration standards.
