The BukhSU delegation met with the director of the Russian State Hermitage Museum
The delegation headed by the rector of the Bukhara State University held a meeting with the director of the Russian State Hermitage, Academician Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky, in order to establish scientific cooperation. At the meeting, discussions were held on issues of archeology, museology, restoration, and agreements were reached. During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the organization of the exhibition "Days of the Hermitage" in Bukhara, as well as on the organization of internships in the Hermitage for students, masters, teachers of this direction.
The BukhSU delegation visited the departments of the peoples of the East, Central Asia and Western Europe of the Hermitage. Also, in the Old Address and the Hermitage's restoration departments, an exchange of views took place with the Hermitage's researchers on the preservation of unique historical exhibits, their restoration, and museological issues. Exhibits on the archeology of the history of Bukhara were examined.
