In Linux Veritas Website
In Linux Veritas is Latin for In Linux Find the Truth. I've created a website that addresses that mantra and am hosting it as a .com from my home in North Carolina.
I'm running my own .com domain website now hosted by yours truly on the Raspberry Pi Model 3B Plus. I've installed Apache2 Web Server, PHP, and MySQL on the Pi and the website runs from Apache2. I've configured my router to port forward all port 80 requests to the IPv4 address of the Pi so Apache2 can serve the site from the request. It was very easy to set up after I registered my domain through Google domains and established a DDNS API to update the DNS if my ISP changes my WAN IP address. Check out my website called In Linux Veritas which is Latin for "In Linux find the truth". The site is written in HTML5 and complies with Dr. Jacob Nielsen's "Web Usability: The Practice of Simplicity" standards.
Here is a snapshot of the single-board computer that is hosting my .com domain website from my home. Pretty remarkable that you can host your own domain website 24/7 with total control over its content, hosting, storage, and more.
My website is written in HTML5 and conforms to the principles expounded by Dr. Jacob Nielsen in his book: "Web Usability: The Practice of Simplicity". The site is very basic at the moment, but I will be enhancing it as time goes on. Please visit the site and let me know what you think in the comment section below.
