Birthday of Alejandro González Iñárritu
On August 15, 1963, in Mexico City, the seventh child was born to the family of Luz María Iñárritu and Héctor González Gama, a boy named Alejandro. Well, and the names González and Iñárritu, according to the Spanish tradition, he received from his father and mother.
At the time of Alejandro's birth, his dad was a fairly successful banker who owned his own ranch. However, by the time Alejandro was five, his dad had gone bankrupt and joined the rows of the working class. The relative financial distress of the family led to Alejandro's poor performance in school, as a result of which he was forced to complete his school education at the age of 16 and become a sailor in the merchant marine.
After two years of wandering across different seas and continents, he returned to Mexico and entered the prestigious Ibero-American University. He combined his studies at the university with work as a disc jockey on the radio. And after graduating from university, Alejandro tried himself in several different professions, being the host of television shows, composer, writer, producer and director of television series.
Finally, in 2000, at the fairly mature age of 37, he directed his first feature film, "Amores perros (Love's a Bitch)". Which immediately became a bestseller, winning 55 film awards in various parts of the world.
