Investment Analyst / Senior Investment Analyst for Target Global Cyprus (Nicosia)
The Alternative, a technology-focused investment company, is a new spin-off of Target Global, with over €1.2bn in assets under management, a strong network of 200+ investors, and a diverse portfolio encompassing several dozen companies.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Investment Analyst / Senior Investment Analyst to join our early-stage investment team. The team is focused on making a select number of high-conviction early-stage investments (up to $10m each) per year, targeting early-stage startups (Seed, Series A, early Series B), developing products in Fintech, Software, and Consumer Tech.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about the tech market, be familiar with the standard VC deal process, have strong knowledge of the key components of product growth, and have excellent financial modeling skills and the ability to create high-quality presentations.
This is an exceptional opportunity to become one of the first members of a newly established team, with significant potential for rapid professional growth, while developing in-depth expertise across both buy- and sell-side work.
- Participating in deal sourcing, commercial due diligence, and deal execution;
- Preparing investment memos and related materials for internal approval;
- Monitoring the performance of existing investments and providing ongoing support to portfolio companies;
- End-to-end participation in the fundraising process of the portfolio companies;
- Assisting with internal reporting;
- Building and maintenance of relationships with VCs, entrepreneurs, and other industry professionals.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in STEM (preferably), Finance, Economics or Business;
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced/entrepreneurial work environment, such as VC/PE, Corporate Development, IB, Consulting, or Startups. Candidates from product and technical backgrounds (e.g. software development) are also welcome, provided they meet the same hard-skills requirements.
- Exceptional numerical skills and very high attention to detail;
- Excellent project management skills, involving working with multiple stakeholders;
- Proficiency in financial modeling and preparing high-quality presentations;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluency in English
