A specialist to work in department of startups and mergers and acquisitions | Uzum (Tashkent)
Uzum - is a brand-new technological company born in Uzbekistan seeking to build the gateway for digitalization of commerce and financial services in our home market. (https://uzum.com/).
We are looking for a candidate to join our Startegy and M&A dept. in Tashkent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participation in team projects (M&A, commercial partnerships, strategic development, etc.);
- Preliminary analysis and execution of M&A transactions;
- Active participation in due diligence process;
- Сommunication with external advisers;
- Preparation of analytical; presentations, market analysis, ad-hoc research tasks;
- Preparation of complex financial / operational models;
- Valuation / fundamental analysis of potential investment opportunities;
- Origination of new investment opportunities;
- Lead select internal workstreams.
- 3-5 years of previous experience in investment banks; PE / VC funds; internal M&A corporate development departments or experience in consulting firms on M&A projects (Big3, ATK, RB);
- Excellent financial modelling skills;
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance and valuation;
- Knowledge of M&A transaction documentation;
- Experience with IT / tech related companies or with investment funds focused on tech industries is strongly preferred;
- Critical thinking, high motivation, strong team player;
- Fluent English (verbal and written);
- Passed CFA levels is a plus;
- Multitasking and self-starting;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
