Animal shelter Hayot in Tashkent Uzbekistan, 2020
A view upon the shelter which is situated 25 kilometers from Tashkent, between the Kazakhstan–Uzbekistan border. The shelter is called 'Hayot' which in translation means 'Life'.
Volunteers of this shelter along with a managing director and founder Iroda Matkarimova had success in obtaining a land plot allotted by the Kibray city to build a new shelter for stray animals. For now, housing conditions are not the best ones: tankered water, no electricity, a half-finished kitchen. However, volunteers are investing their time, savings and efforts to develop the shelter even further.
"Hayot' also plans to build additional crates and kennels, because they are sorely lacking, and a small pet clinic where animals could be neutered or spayed.
