"We Are With You" - a charity photo exhibition in support of the shelter Hayot

On February 8, the Human House cultural center launched a charity photo exhibition “We Are With You” in support of the Hayot-Life shelter.

“Hayot means life” is the motto of the first official shelter for dogs in Uzbekistan. It has been operating for 1.5 years, but has already found those who support and help in doing good deeds. One such volunteer is amateur photographer Yulia Moon, who is organizing a charity exhibition to help the shelter for the second time.

The main goal of the exhibition is to attract the attention of people, to motivate them for financial or moral assistance. Currently, more than 800 dogs live in the shelter. Volunteers of the shelter note that you can come there not only to pick up the dog, but also just to spend time with the pets.

The main task of the «Hayot-Life» is sterilization, castration, vaccination. Volunteers of the shelter organize dwellings for dogs, which are later transferred into the hands of the owners with a passport and without any illnesses.

Also, the team of the shelter regularly conducts "Lessons of Kindness" in schools, with the aim of fostering feelings of kindness and compassion in the young generation.

A series of photographs entitled "We are with you" shows the interaction of people and animals. All of the photographs presented are in black and white, which makes them even more touching and brings deeper meaning.

photo exhibition author

I am an amateur photographer. When you love a person, child or animal, you experience identical emotions. It was the love for animals and the desire to somehow help them that pushed me to this idea. Thanks to the support of my friends, in just one month, the exhibition turned from a thought in my head into a reality. There is no commerce in the project. My goal is not to make a name for myself, but to help the orphanage.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to Julia Moon for this exhibition, because now people have the opportunity to look into the eyes of animals. The team of the shelter does everything to ensure that the rescued pets are well-fed and clean, but one way or another, dogs need a family. You can talk a lot about this, but it's better to come one day and find yourself a devoted friend!

Iroda Matkarimova

founder of the shelter Hayot

Thanks to these exhibitions, people learn about us, about the shelter, start helping more financially, empathize and think about taking a dog from the shelter.

My dream is to open branches of the Hayot-Life shelter in Uzbekistan. We would like to save more animals, including in the regions of the country. When our work becomes massive, the number of homeless animals in the country will definitely decrease.

I REALLY WANT OUR ANIMALS TO BE GOOD!

The exhibition runs from 11:00 to 18:00 until March 8. Admission is free, but you can fill the box with cash, which will later be transferred to the shelter's account.
