How to Use Quarantine Productively With Kids

Stuck indoors with your kids and do not know what to do?

The quarantine time has locked all of us in our homes with our family, but as parents, we know it is difficult. You are worried about your kids’ health and education. You are not wrong at your place because 21 days and no school is real harm in the education cycle for a kid. But, why fear?

While this lockdown has impacted us, it has also given us a chance to get to know our people better, to cherish the time lost in the fast-paced life with our loved ones. You need to use the time given by COVID 19 to its best so that when your kids step out, they are better and stronger individuals.

It’s Productivity Time

We know you might be clueless about what can do at home with your child to be productive. Well, here are some tips for you to be the best!

  1. Read- Read Yes! You read it right. While you might be thinking it is not studying time and you are looking for fun things to do, reading does not necessarily equate to studying course books. Reading is teaching your kids to learn new things through new books; magazines, newspapers and even comic books. Open up old storybooks and tell them to read it. Reading helps them build the knowledge base and makes them smarter.

Also, read stories from books to your kids. Remember bedtime stories? Well, your kids deserve the too before they tug themselves in bed.
  2. Teach them Art It is time for your kids to try their hands at various forms of art. Teach them drawing, coloring, painting (hand painting, oil painting and what not!). Kids learn when they do and they learn that faster. Teach them all kinds of art, obviously, the one they like. Art is not just concerned, you can teach them stitching too. YouTube is filled with multiple DIY crafts and art tips and this is the time you use the internet in favor of your child.
  3. Skills Time Quarantine has given you time to help your kids learn skills that help them in life. Teach your kids the right ways of personal hygiene. Teach them how to wash clothes or how to iron them. Help them with their basic cooking abilities. Life tests all of us at some point and what helps us sail through is what life skills we have. Make your kids ready for their coming time.
  4. Indoor Games Games too are a fun way to teach kids. Play games with them while you are at home as you never know again when you enter the fast-paced life. Play games with your kids like Ludo or chess or whatever is available at your place. Build smarter individuals.
  5. Storytime We do not mean the rabbit and tortoise stories. Tell your kids your life stories. The stories of how you accepted defeat, of how you failed and then how with your courage you won! Kids learn from parents. Build strong-minded kids by inspiring them with your stories so that when life throws them lemons, they know how to make lemonade. Your stories will motivate, inspire and help them.
