BMW 2 Series four-door coupe: a derivative model of the new generation 1 Series

The new BMW Malaysia 2 Series and the new generation of BMW 1 Series hatchbacks are both built on the FAAR front-wheel drive platform, which can be regarded as a derivative model of the new generation 1 Series, and the competing models are directed to the Mercedes-Benz CLA.

Gran Coupe uses the latest family-style design, from it you can find many elements shared with the new generation 1 series. The style of the double-kidney-shaped middle grid connected in the middle is basically the same as that of the new 1 series. The headlight group is based on the structure of the new 1 series headlights. A corner is added to the lower frame, and the internal light source remains unchanged. The three-stage front enclosure has a large area of air intake, which strongly reflects the positioning of the car.

The slip-back body and borderless doors establish the sports coupe qualities of the 2 Series GC. The wheels are available in sizes of 16-19 inches. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the car are 4526/1800/1420mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2670mm. The length of the car is longer than the current 2 Series Coupe and 1 Series sedan.

The rear shape is very similar to that of the BMW 8 Series. The slender and flat taillights and the upturned "duck tail" design of the tail box cover are aggressive. The combination of two exhausts on both sides and black tail lip emphasizes the sporty style.

As a high-performance version of the car series, the M235i xDrive model has a series of exclusive sports kits, including a 3D mesh design of the center grid, a more sporty design of front and rear surrounds, and silver exterior mirror housings. M235i is equipped with a set of BMW code-named 405M multi-spoke two-color wheels. The front brakes are upgraded with M Performance four-piston brakes. The suspension height is also lower than that of the regular version, in order to achieve a lower center of gravity and stronger support.

The interior design of the car is consistent with the new generation 1 series hatchback, equipped with BMW's latest style full LCD instrument panel, electronic shift handle, steering wheel, central control screen, etc. The central control screen has a built-in BMW iD7 human-computer interaction system, and the door panel, co-drive central control panel and handlebar area are also added with ambient lights to enhance the mood of the interior. The official picture shows the interior of the M235i xDrive model, which is equipped with an M steering wheel with shift paddles, aluminum alloy pedals and sports bucket seats.
