How much is it? Buy Honda Civic 1.8 or 1.5 Turbo?
Since the Honda Civic FC was launched in 2016, it has become a hot topic in the local car market. Honda Civic made some improvements to continue this achievement. Since its launch in February last year, it has sold 2,900 units. The Honda Civic price in malaysia is RM 108,165-134,661.
Although the industry is now turning to SUVs, the Honda Civic is still very popular. With 2 engine options in 3 variants, many people choose the 1.5 Turbo engine instead of 1.8. One of the reasons is higher performance, cheaper road taxes and more equipment. However, Civic 1.8 is not empty at all.
In terms of power, the 1.5 TC-P model clearly stands out. You can get higher performance while saving road tax.
Despite the relatively low seat position, the Civic did not provide the driving pleasure of the Mazda 3. It is also not as comfortable as the Toyota Corolla Altis. In fact, the Civic is at the center of power. On the surface appearance, the 1.5 TC-P model looks more sporty, equipped with a rear spoiler and larger 18-inch wheels, with a size of 235/40 R18. For your reference, it is also specially equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. In contrast, the 1.8 S model is only equipped with 16-inch wheels.
In terms of equipment, the top variant of TC-P has safety features such as Honda LaneWatch and Honda Sensing. Nevertheless, the 1.8 S model still has sufficient safety equipment, such as 6 airbags and basic safety controls. Both variants come with 7-inch infotainment displays that support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
So, which Civic do you choose? Some people think that Civic 1.5 TC-P is the most worthwhile version, even if the price difference is RM26,000.
The 1.8 S model is not equipped with a complete safety system, but if you want to get used to the Honda Civic, it is enough.
