Honda Civic 2020 vs. Toyota Corolla Altis 2020-which is better?
In Malaysia, the competition between the two most popular C-class cars has been going on for a long time. For the "same" price, you can choose the Honda Civic 2020 facelift or Toyota Corolla Altis 2020 with enhanced infotainment system. Without wasting more time, let us compare the two cars in more depth.
In terms of price, Honda Civic price malaysia is ranged from RM 108,165 to 134,661. Toyota Corolla Altis is ranged from RM 123,971 to 134,505.
In terms of linear performance, the winner is particularly prominent between the turbocharged Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis. In our tests, we used Honda Civic to successfully reach 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. At the same time, the same acceleration of the Toyota Corolla Altis was completed in 11.4 seconds.
However, when you step on the accelerator pedal, the Corolla's drivetrain responds faster, while the Honda Civic feels a little slow.
In terms of equipment convenience, these two cars are equipped with complete LED headlights and automatic highlight lights. However, the Corolla only has a keyless entry system on one side of the driver's door, while the same function of the Civic is installed on both sides of the front door.
As for the infotainment system, Corolla was upgraded earlier this year with a 9-inch touch screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections. Civic's infotainment system also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections, but the touch screen is smaller, only 7 inches.
The audio quality of Corolla's 6-speaker system is better than Civic's 8-speaker setup. The Corolla audio system has soft texture bass and clear midrange and treble, and the sound quality is smooth. Inside the Civic, the audio system is not very interesting. "Treble" is a bit rough, especially when raising the adjustment of its settings. The "bass" becomes too deep when it rises-it's best to just keep it at a neutral level. However, no matter how the settings are adjusted, it has no details and does not feel subtle.
In terms of safety, both have more or less the same details, except for Civic's LaneWatch and Corolla Altis's BSM. In terms of performance, Toyota's sense of safety is smoother in braking, accelerating and steering. However, the difference with Honda sensor is very small, they are almost the same.
