Cosmetics sales on 46 812$ in English speaking countries and CIS

For 4 months:

Firstly the main object of the advertising campaign was to get 1500 wholesale applications on the website in a month from Instagram+VK, for the price less than 6$ for each of them. So we started to use other markets to reach the goal.

Initially we made the advertising in Russia and CIS, then we started to expand and came to Russian speaking audience in Europe.

The first step was a segmentation for each country.

Preliminary we collected "similar audience" for each concret country from customer base.

The ads was set up with the purpose of "Traffic", and with optimization on "landing page views".

In Russia the click was for 0,2-0,3$, in CIS for 0,25-03$, in Russian speaking Europe it was 0,34$. A click on link was 0,5$ on volumes.

We fit into the monthly plan and the cost of the application in 6$, but we had a feeling that we can do it better.

To make indicator better, next month we:

  • started to use as a purpose of campaign "Conversions" (preliminary a pixel was set up on the website and the page "Thank you" was marked with special code);
  • added ads in English for English speaking countries and Europe;
  • changed promo posts: lessened texts on pictures and started to use in ads not just beautiful ladies, but also make an accent on the product;
  • abandoned stories because through tests we found out that there are more conversion orders from posts.

What we had got for the month working with foreign countries:

  1. 1 321 applications in CIS and Russian speaking Europe. The cost varied from 2$ to 3,4$. The average cost was 2,8$. The best reaction was from the next countries: Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Spain, Latvia, Poland.
  2. 1 764 applications for English speaking countries. The cost varied from 0,8$ to 2,9$/ The average cost was 1,5$. The best reaction was from next countries: the USA, the UK, India.

During several months we not just hold the cost of an application in Europe and other foreign countries (and in Russia too), but also to reduce it.
