Lukashenka's (and Putin's) Hybrid War Against Lithuania (and Europe): An Interview by G. Landsbergis

In recent months, and especially weeks, Lithuania has become the target of a massive migration attack - this Baltic country lying on the eastern border of the European Union has faced an unprecedented influx of illegal migrants from West Africa, Iraq and Afghanistan: their number is dozens of times higher than last year.

Unlike the countries of Western Europe, Lithuania is not a rich country by European standards and therefore is not attractive for most economic migrants from the countries of the 3rd world, and unlike Greece, Italy and Spain, it is a northern country that does not border on the above countries and regions. Where, then, did so many Arabs and Africans come from the Lithuanian border?

The reason lies in the revenge of Alexander Lukashenka (who seized power in neighboring Belarus more than 25 years ago) to this European country for its principled position and, in particular, for tough Lithuanian sanctions against the Belarusian regime - in response to Lukashenka's recent aviation terrorism and terror against his own people unleashed by him over the past year.

How does this happen? According to available information, the Lukashenka regime, with the help of dummy "travel agencies" offering air tickets to residents of the mentioned African and Middle Eastern countries at scanty prices, has created a full-fledged transport channel through which migrants first - legally - enter Belarus, and then - travel to the Belarusian-Lithuanian border where the Belarusian border guards - according to available information - even assist them in crossing the border (remove barriers, etc.).

The goal of this hybrid war is to break Lithuania's political will and force it to make concessions to the dictator. The consequences of these actions are also obvious - a real artificial migratory tsunami directed against Europe, and in this case already in those countries for which the influx of migrants from Asia and Africa was previously rare.

We present to your attention the recent interview of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania G. Landsbergis, which he gave during his visit to Turkey - in the hope of reaching an agreement with the leadership of this country on the suppression of the criminal human trafficking practice used by Lukashenka.

This situation clearly shows why the Belarusian dictator Lukashenka and his Kremlin patron Putin (who essentially maintains Lukashenka's regime - we wrote about this https://t.me/orange_east/9707) are the real enemies of Europe, and those “right-wingers” who support them are either naive and misguided people, or open agents of the Kremlin's influence, who are only interested in personal profit, and not the values that they allegedly defend in words.

P.S. For us Russians, when watching this interview, the contrast of the intelligent, polite and adequate Landsbergis was obvious - against the background of the already "familiar to us" Russian Foreign Minister - the vulgar gopnik and Soviet-style propagandist Sergei Lavrov-Kalantaryan.
