The Watch
I am watching the new tv-show named The Watch. It was shot by BBC based on novels of sir Terry Pratchett about Discworld, rather those volumes that told about Guards or the City Watch.
I waited for that tv-show for a long since I'd known about shooting it. The novels about the City Watch are ones of my favorite Discworld cycles, along with the Witches.
What can I say? It is not so bad. Rather normal, even good. But this is not what was written by Terry Pratchett at all. However, in the opening titles wrote - Based on the novel - then, it meant they used only something from novels, but didn't shoot all literally. And, of course, all have different expectations, and the authors had no target to satisfy all of them. And it is impossible at all, isn't it? But also that show shares a modern trend in movies when the original male characters change to female ones. And that has no sense for the plot except the fact of changing itself.
If you see it as an independent artwork you can get the most pleasant impressions from that show.
