Normally pimples are red and swollen and pain also develops in those areas. Whereas the blackheads are non- inflamed acne blemishes and the color will not be read. Though the blackheads appear as the accumulation of dirt on the skin, it is actually not so. It is a follicle plug developed on the surface of the skin. As the oily part of the plug is exposed to air, it will get oxidized and appears as black or sometimes brown in color. They won’t create a break in the follicle wall and the chances of inflammation or redness are very rare in this case.
