Based Developers- Conclusion
Preface
Everyone is shouting from every channel about the upcoming Base token drop. They talk about the necessity of completing the Guild. However, I haven't found a single guide for Base Learn in the CIS community. Perhaps they exist, but not in my subscriptions. That's why I decided to write one myself. Most of the information was taken from this user. The work is quite tedious at first, but then it gets simple. At the end, there is a guide for Based Developers. It's purely template-based.
UPD: The Guild site has been significantly updated, so the process is slightly different now. The guide is fully updated, with the exception of Based Developers, as these pins have generally been removed. I left them in the guide just in case they are added back.

Preparation
1. Для начала нам понадобятся тестовые токены BASE. Взять их можно бесплатно на одном из трех кранов:
QuickNode Requires a minimum of 0.001 ETH in the Ethereum mainnet.
Alchemy Requires a minimum of 0.001 ETH in the BASE network.
Chain.link Requires a minimum of 1 LINK in the Ethereum mainnet.
I recommend QuickNode. Alchemy constantly gives me errors, and buying LINK for a faucet isn't worth it. I think it's clear without screenshots: just enter or connect your wallet and click "Receive".
2. After that, go here and add the testnet to your wallet.
3. Next, go to guild and you will see the quests. We are going to complete them step by step.
Base Learn Newcomer
We start with the first badge. First, go to the remix.etherium.
First, change the network in your wallet. I'll show this using Rabby Wallet, but the essence is the same for all wallets.
- Open your wallet.
- Click on the network to change it.
- Select the "Custom Network" tab.
- Select Base Sepolia.
Now close the wallet and continue working on the REMIX website. We need to create a file with code on the left side of the screen.
- Click the button to create a file with a blank name.
- Enter any name, for example
test. - Press Enter on the keyboard to get the file
test.sol.

interface IBasicContractTest {
function adder(
uint _a,
uint _b
) external returns (uint result, bool success);
function subtractor(
uint _a,
uint _b
) external returns (uint result, bool success);
}
contract SafeMathContract is IBasicContractTest {
function adder(
uint _a,
uint _b
) external pure override returns (uint result, bool success) {
if (type(uint).max - _a < _b) {
return (0, true);
} else {
result = _a + _b;
return (result, false);
}
}
function subtractor(
uint _a,
uint _b
) external pure override returns (uint result, bool success) {
if (_b > _a) {
return (0, true);
} else {
result = _a - _b;
return (result, false);
}
}
}Return to the site and compile the code:
- Click on the
test.solfile. - Click on the first line and paste the copied code.
- Click on the "Solidity Compiler" button.
- Click on "Compiler" and select version
0.8.30(or match the version at the start of the code; optional if no errors occur). - Click "Compile".
Now we need to select our wallet as the deployer:
- Go to the "Deploy & Run Transactions" tab.
- Click on "Environment".
- Select Injected Provider (usually labeled as Metamask/Rabby).
- Select your wallet.
- Click on the contract dropdown (if it's not there, you didn't click Compile in the previous step).
- Select
SafeMathContract. - Click Deploy.
- Check that the network is Base Sepolia.
- Sign the transaction.
Return to Remix and copy the contract address:
- Expand the deployed contract (at the bottom under "Deployed Contracts").
- Find the "contract address" line (copy icon) and click it.
- Go to the contract testing site (I will provide a link for each badge).
- On the opened page, click "Contract".
- Click "Write Contract".
- Connect your wallet by clicking the "Connect to Web3" button.
- In the window that appears, select MetaMask (a warning might pop up before this window, just click OK).
- If you use Rabby Wallet, a specific window will open. Select Rabby.
- Next, a connection window will pop up. Check at the top that the network is set to "Base Sepolia" and click "Connect".
- Then click on "testContract".
- Paste the contract address you copied earlier into the line that appears.
- Click "Write".
- In the transaction popup that appears, check the network to ensure it is "Base Sepolia".
- Sign the transaction.
- After that, a "View your transaction" button will appear. If you did something wrong, it will change to an error after a couple of seconds. In that case, try clicking "Write" again and sign it once more. If the error remains, I advise returning to the Remix site and doing everything again.
- Now return to Guild and check the completion of conditions using one of the buttons.
- Congratulations. If you see a green icon, you did everything correctly.
Congratulations! We received the first badge. The rest are done exactly the same way. Just for each one, you need to insert different code. I recommend using the same file names that I will specify below. Before each one, there will be a link to the contract testing site. For some, you will have to create two files with specific names at once. Below I show the code for the remaining badges.

Select: WeightedVoting. Click the arrow next to "Deploy" and enter a name and symbol for your token (whatever you want).
Congratulations! We have obtained all badges in the Base Learn tab. Next, let's cover Based Developers. It is done very quickly. Basically, you need to deploy the same contract 5 times on the BASE Mainnet.

The last line looks like this:
Before deploying, change the name, symbol, and quantity (just in case). And so deploy 5 different tokens one by one.
Contract to select: Token. And don't forget to change the compiler version as at the beginning of the code - 0.5.0.
That's it. This is enough to get both badges.
Conclusion
If you've reached this point, it means you have fully completed Base Learn and Based Developers. Only ~40k wallets have gone through them in total, which is small for such a network. After moving to the new Guild, there will be even fewer, since not everyone will claim everything again. Thanks for reading the article.
