At the initiative of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz,” the second day of the international forum dedicated to industrial safety and labor protection was held at the “Uzbekistan GTL” plant, with the participation of specialists from leading oil and gas companies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and several other countries.

Within the framework of the forum, nearly 100 industrial safety and labor protection specialists were provided with detailed information about the work carried out at the enterprise in this field, the plant’s achievements, advanced standards implemented at the site, safety culture requirements, and modern equipment used specifically in this direction.

The program began with a special presentation on industrial safety and labor protection. During the presentation, detailed explanations were given on the safety management system of the Uzbekistan GTL plant, risk assessment processes, accident prevention mechanisms, as well as the practical functioning of protection and monitoring systems.

Following this, guests were presented with a comprehensive overview of the plant’s design stages, its development up to the present day, production capacities, and core technological processes.

The delegation, accompanied by responsible specialists, visited the main production areas and became acquainted with technological equipment, process safety systems, fire protection infrastructure, gas detection devices, early incident detection systems, and other essential safety components.

Guests also visited the Central Control Room, where they observed the plant’s digital monitoring and control system, real-time tracking of process parameters, the functioning algorithms of automatic protection systems, and key safety protocols.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Central Laboratory. In practical demonstrations, the laboratory showcased the ability of Arctic diesel fuel to retain its physical and chemical properties at –40°C, as well as the environmental cleanliness of GTL-based diesel fuel.

At the end of the visit, a roundtable discussion was held with the participation of industrial safety and labor protection specialists from various enterprises. The participants exchanged experience and discussed advanced practices, risk-management mechanisms, production culture, and other pressing industry topics.

This forum and the conducted site visit contribute to strengthening international cooperation, implementing advanced safety practices, enhancing specialists’ practical skills, and supporting the development of sustainable safety systems in the oil and gas industry.
