Ptero Dynamics Flying Wonder.

Ptero Dynamics VTOL is an unique wing-folding wonder drone, which takes off vertically and flyies horisontaly like a normal plane. Vertical take off and landing machines are called VTOL. In our case VTOL is the unmanned drone.

The drone uses patented Transwing tecnology: the aircraft's wings fold and unfold during the transition between vertical and horizontal flight. Transwing’s configuration is novel for a small unmanned aircraft system.

Transwing tecnology is the brainchild of Dr.Val Petrov, who experimented with eVTOL concepts as far back as the mid-2000s. He came up with the Transwing concept in 2016, recognizing the inefficiency of existing VTOL and manned aircraft designs.

California's PteroDynamics claims this will be the most efficient way of flight for the drone by far. Transwing aircraft have much greater range, endurance, and cargo carrying efficiency as compared to all other VTOL designs.

PteroDynamics aircraft knowhow is protected by the several U.S. and international patents.

This transwing aircraft have improved controllability in takeoff and landing and typically require 1/3 of the ground footprint as compared to other aircraft with the same wingspan.

Ptero Dynamics VTOL has got wingspans up to 3.8m. The aircraft can have between four to six propellers with the same number of electric motors. The landing gear is retractable wheeled landing gear which are located on the ends of the propeller nacelles.
