2021 Honda City hatchback was exposed as a regional fit / Jazz replacement model
It's much bigger than the fitted version and won't collide with the Civic hatchback.
After the official map was released, recently, the official released the new Honda City hatchback (New Vanguard hatchback) real car. The new car will be first put on sale in Thailand market and equipped with 1.0T three cylinder engine.
In terms of styling, the front face of the new Honda City hatchback basically continues the three compartment model, but after adopting the two compartment design, the side and tail have changed.
The overall design of the new car tail is compact. The interior lamp group of tail lamp adopts L-shaped layout, with air guide on both sides and black rear surround decoration, which further improves the sportiness. In a thirsty SUV market, it is refreshing to see that Honda has not given up ordinary cars. A year after the introduction of the city car, its five door sedan will debut today as an alternative to the Jazz / fit supermini in some markets. It largely inherits the style of a car, but because the city hatchback is 208 mm (8.2 inches) shorter, it adapts to smaller footprint.
At 4345 mm (171.1 inches) long, the new hatch is significantly larger than Jazz without stepping on the toes of the citizen hatchback. Honda said that although its wheelbase exceeds that of a car, the five door model has more legroom and so-called super seats, with practical, long, high and refresh modes to provide additional convenience. Besides, there are more information about the specs, images and features of Honda City 2020 in Wapcar.
In Thailand, the city hatchback was unveiled, and Honda will sell a car with a turbocharged 1.0-liter gasoline engine. The three pots are good for 120 HP and 173 nm (128 LB ft) torque channels through a constantly changing transmission front wheel. There is a sporty look of the RS trim here, which features red, but it is all displayed without any extra effort.
The top of the RS series of the city hatchback has more than just a visual adjustment, because it is generously equipped with shift paddles, six airbags, cruise control, rear charging port, and an armrest for passengers sitting in the back. Honda has also installed an 8-speaker audio system, an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system, and red lighting for the dashboard digital screen.
The price of Thailand Honda City's basic model is 599,000 baht (190700 US dollars), while the price of the RS is increased to 749000 baht (24700 US dollars). The City's name plate is older than some people think, and it was nearly 40 years old when the first generation of mini cars was launched in 1981. Since then, it has grown dramatically, with the new hatchback nearly a meter (39 inches) long.
