FREE SUBSCRIPTION
In the free version of Spotify, there are 30-second ad breaks between tracks.
You cannot download songs for offline listening.
Streams from free accounts are counted but carry less weight compared to premium subscriptions.
On mobile devices, free accounts shuffle playlists, while on desktop they play them in order.
If you want to enjoy all the benefits of Spotify Premium but are not yet ready to pay, try the free trial version.
SPOTIFY PREMIUM
A Premium subscription removes ads and allows you to queue songs and albums, as well as download tracks for offline listening (offline listens are registered after reconnecting to the internet).
Streams from such accounts carry more weight in calculations and royalties to artists.
Spotify offers several premium plan options.
Unfiltered streams appear in the total play count but do not affect Spotify’s official charts.
STREAMING RECOMMENDATIONS
• Create an account if you don’t have one yet, and open Spotify.
• Turn off autoplay: go to Home → Settings → Playback.
• Find the album you’re interested in.
• Listen to the entire album, then move on to playlists.
• Set the volume to 50% or higher.
• Act naturally: take breaks, skip tracks, and like songs.
• Share the song or album link on all your social media platforms.
• Join streaming parties on Stationhead at the account @xlovsupport if you have a premium account, and we’ll stream for you.
PLAYLISTS
To create your own playlists and prevent filtering of streams, set up your rotation correctly. Here are some tips:
• Create playlists of two lengths: daytime — 2–4 hours and nighttime — 8–9 hours.
• Insert 3–4 tracks between the main songs (B-sides, old XLOV songs, or pre-debut Wumuti songs).
• Add tracks from other artists every 8–10 tracks (no longer than 3 minutes).
• Don’t use the same playlists every time.
• When the playlist ends, choose another one instead of looping it.
MULTI-ACCOUNT STREAMING RECOMMENDATIONS
• Research shows that Spotify Charts counts only 20 streams per song per account per day. After listening 20 times, switch to another account.
• Maximum number of accounts — 6 per IP (same as in the Family plan).
• Don’t stream in different tabs of the same browser or in different browsers on the same device.
• Use other devices and mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.
• Don’t play the same playlist on all accounts simultaneously.
How to make a song viral on Spotify
To help a song become popular in the Spotify Viral Songs chart, follow these steps:
• Find the desired song on Spotify.
• Copy its link from your account.
• Share the link on social media.
Important: before sharing the link, make sure to listen to the song.
WHAT NOT TO DO
• Don’t mute Spotify. Instead, mute your device or use headphones.
• Don’t use VPNs, APKs, or other tools that hide your IP address.
• Don’t skip ads and avoid ad blockers.
• Don’t put a track or playlist on repeat.
• Don’t shuffle tracks in playlists.
• Avoid the same track order.
• Don’t end a playlist with the same song it started with.
• Don’t add artists who compete with XLOV in charts or streams.
• Don’t stream constantly from one account.
• Don’t stream from different devices simultaneously on one account.
