Bugs (eng)

Bugs is a Korean music platform that counts towards digitals for every music show.

We recommend that international EVOLs use Bugs as the main platform for helping XLOV with digitals because:

  • Bugs is more accessible for users outside Korea compared to some other Korean platforms
  • We are still a small fandom and Bugs has the least regular users out of the main Korean music platforms, making charting more feasible

Music Show Charts that use Bugs

Bugs Chart

  • Used by Show Champion, Music Bank
  • Counts streaming and downloads from ONLY Bugs
  • Song downloads are counted, but not music video downloads
  • 80% downloads, 20% streaming

Circle Digital Chart

  • Used by Music Core + chart entry required for Inkigayo eligibility
  • Counts streaming and downloads from multiple platforms, including Bugs
  • Both song downloads and music video downloads are counted
  • Downloads are weighted more heavily than streams

Circle Global K-Pop Chart

  • Used by M Countdown, Inkigayo
  • Counts streaming from multiple platforms, including Bugs

Your App Store location must be set to Korea. The easiest way to do this is to go to this link and create a new Apple ID with the country/region set to Korea.

Create Korean Apple ID

Once you have created a Korean Apple ID, you can open the App Store, sign out of your current Apple ID and sign in to your Korean Apple ID.

Now you can search for Bugs on the App Store or use this link and install the app.

You may need to input your phone number for two-factor authentication.

You can log back in to your old Apple ID after you've installed the app. The app will still be on your device and you'll still be able to use it.
