Music Show Criteria: Voting
Every music show has fan voting as part of their criteria. Voting is generally the second most heavily weighted music show category with an average weighting of 15.64%. It is very important to familiarise yourself with voting platforms because voting is a very powerful way to support XLOV, especially during comeback promotions.
This article contains information about voting that helps XLOV for music shows, either for the music show voting categories themselves or for supporting digitals, broadcast, SNS or physicals.
NOTE: XLOV are not guaranteed to be a candidate for every single one of the voting polls mentioned here.

FAQ
When does music show voting open and close?
Note that this schedule is for 1 week of promotions. Generally we will be voting for 2 weeks of promotions. Because voting for 1 week of promotions spans across 2 weeks, there will be some overlap in voting.
Fanbases will notify when radio promotion (IDOLCHAMP) and streaming (Kooky, idoki, DuckAd) polls are open.
How much voting currency do I need?
The amount of voting currency needed depends on whether there is a limit to the amount of votes you can cast in a poll.
IDOLCHAMP, Fancast, Mubeat, DuckAd, Kooky, idoki, LiNC/tin album support
- 1750 rubies per week of promotions (1500 hot stage + 250 live vote)
- (diamond equivalent: 1 diamond = 10 rubies)
We recommend collecting for AT LEAST 2 weeks of promotions.
When should I start collecting?
I don't have time to collect on all these apps. Which ones should I prioritise?
If you don't have time to collect on everything, we recommend focusing on IDOLCHAMP, Fancast, Kooky and DuckAd.
Also ensure that you have made accounts for the Mnet Plus app and the MUNIVERSE website, since these there is no collecting needed for these platforms.
How should we split voting for polls on the same platform? Which poll should we focus on?
Fanbases will organise and communicate priorities soon after XLOV's comeback is announced. Priorities can change depending on XLOV's odds, and we will notify if there are any changes to which polls we are focusing on.
Should I vote immediately or save my votes until near the end?
You can vote however you like, but last-minute voting is a recommended strategy FOR APPLICABLE POLLS.
⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ Last-minute voting should only be done for polls where voting is unlimited, the rankings and gaps are visible and the closing time is known!!!
- Show Champion pre-vote (IDOLCHAMP)
- Stage Champion (IDOLCHAMP)
- Radio Promotion (IDOLCHAMP)
- Music Core pre-vote (Mubeat)
- Kooky will stream for you (Kooky)
- Comeback support voting (idoki)
What is last-minute voting: casting most of or all votes close to the end of the voting period (i.e. in the final minutes).
How it works: Suppose an artist with a large fandom is winning a voting poll with a big gap and XLOV are in 2nd place. Casting a whole heap of votes for XLOV at the last minute can make this gap smaller AND the large fandom won’t have time to widen the gap before voting closes.
If XLOV are in 1st place, last minute voting can widen this gap and other fandoms won’t have time to make it smaller before voting closes.
- Last-minute voting is a predictable and well-known strategy that is used by many fandoms.
- Apps can become slow or crash when there’s lots of traffic.
- There have been instances of voting polls closing earlier than the scheduled end time.
- Keep track of your expiring currency. Make sure that any currency you save for last-minute voting does not expire before voting closes.
- You don't have to vote last-minute. It is still good to have some votes cast throughout the voting period to establish a lead and maintain a gap (if XLOV are in 1st) / not let the gap get too big (if XLOV aren't in 1st)
Are fanbases raising funds to purchase voting currency?
Yes. Philippines-based XLOV fanbase EVOLution PH are accepting donations and funds will be used to purchase voting currency that will be used to vote for XLOV. This way, the fanbase can buy votes in bulk which is cheaper than individually buying smaller amounts of votes.
If you would like to donate or if you would like to know more, information about the All4XLOV donation drive can be found here.
