Take note of the Shrapnel: 3A blockchain shooter

New promises startup on the horizon. Even though P2E has become downtrend, there are still exciting projects with experienced teams and strong backers that plan to fly to the moon by breaking the downtrend. One of these could be the Shrapnel: AAA-shooter with P2E mechanics.

About Shrapnel project

Shrapnel is a blockchain gaming project on its own Avalanche subchain. It's shooter gameplay, supplemented by additional activities like content creation, trading, and governance. Players can choose Operator and just go to Zone to fight for resources and items with the gun in their hand or run a creation kit to make their own loot, location, and other types of game content.

The project has a well-designed Website and Whitepaper, where you can find pre-history, first concept arts, and activities patterns for different kinds of Shrapnel's users. Also, there is basic tokenomics, general research, and complete information about the project's team, advisors, and partners. Got a lot to see.

Shrapnel activities

Shrapnels offer users three main types of activities:

BUILD - developers promise helpful tools for game content creators. Players will be able to create their own maps, skins, or items to use in the missions or sell to other players.

PLAY - choose an operator (with three main classes), equip him with weapons and other items, and go to Zone to fight with other players. Shrapnel's exception is that players will not only receive resources from the Zone but will also collect killed opponents' NFTs. That increases the competition level.

DISCOVER - the community can mint game content NFT, sell it on the native marketplace, and form an NFT library.

But there are other possibilities to become part of the Shrapnel community and earn, like a run of the validator node, staking, tournament organization, voting, and land ranting. It all depends on how much time and tokens you are ready to spend (or invest).

Token and tokenomics

Native token SHRAP is an ERC-20 utilitarian token with a fixed supply. SHRAP will be deployed to the Avalanche network to serve several functions:

Transactions fees

Staking

Governance

Internal payments

Rewards for all kinds of user activity

Shrapnel also has Reputation scores. Users can get it for playing, creating content, and community participation. The higher the reputation, the more the player's awareness and rewards.

Key token metrics:

Total supply:

  • 3 000 000 000 (3B) SHARP.

Shrapnel’s dis/advantages

Experienced team: advanced team members worked on Halo, Bioshock, Westland, and other top games. In advisers list game influencers and more top developers.

Famous backers: the project has recognizable funds such as Polychain Capital, Dragonfly Capital, DeFiance Capital, Three Arrows Capital, Avalanche, etc. There's also a list of angel investors.

Active social pages: Discord server with 13k members and Twitter account with 11k followers. Not so much, but with good activity and organic growth.

Game concept: Shrapnel is more competitive than classic shooters. Players will have to fight for the loot, which has a real value without checkpoints.

Promising niche: Shrapnel's research shows that shooter players spend more time and money on gaming than other genre players.

There is no working product: now, the team can only show a well-stylized whitepaper, website, and their vision. There are no real development results.

There are no deadlines in the roadmap: it is convenient for developers because they do not push themselves into tight timeframes, but it is inconvenient for potential investors. Unclear how much time it will take to run full-fledged gameplay.

OUR CONCLUSION

Keep watching Shrapnel. There is not enough key information to make a decision and start a negotiation. We need to see the product in action (video or any other way) to evaluate the project's full potential. But if the Shrapnel keeps its concept and provides a promised development level, it will become one of the most attractive P2E projects in the Industry. Just a bit more time, patients, and we'll see Shrapnel's team's real ambitions and possibilities.
