What is the relationship between knowledge and culture?

Since scientific approach is usually the most unbiased, some scientists consider culture an unimportant aspect of acquiring knowledge, because cultural views are usually subjective. However, cultural peculiarities play a crucial role in providing some established facts with explanations as people tend to do things, having only traditions as an underlying reason. Especially it was typical for the past centuries, when the science was not that developed as it is now.
