Total avatar upgrade: DNABLOCK review

Why you worth to buy an NFT avatar if all it is can - just walk around of native metaverse? Recently we talked about how KLON is trying to solve this problem with a universal avatar. Now let's look at DNABLOCK. The creators of these projects believe that the avatar should not be tied to the metaverse and can become a tool for artistic expression and reflection in the virtual world. So what about DNABLOCK?

Also, you can make a DYOR before the review reading. I just leave a few links:

What is DNABLOCK

DNABLOCK is a platform for creating highly detailed 3D avatars and animated content. Here you can not only create an avatar for metaverse exploring but also animate your character to perform at concerts, dance, and do other things that are easily converted into exciting content.

The site uses a variety of technical solutions and is compatible with ALL types of devices, but there are two main technologies:

Replikant - allows you to animate objects and characters without professional skills. DNABLOCK will launch a marketplace of ready-made animations for your avatar. It looks like that:

  • Motion Capture integration - it allows the avatar to repeat your movements completely. So if you have Motion Capture Suits, your avatar will not be limited to a standard set of animations. By the way, DNABLOCK cooperates with companies that provide Capture Suits.

The first technology allows you to animate the avatar in just a few clicks and use it in any game or metaverse that supports Replikant technology. And the second simplifies concerts and performances in virtual space.

It is not a casual level, but it allows to make fully VIRTUAL events and not just stream the event from the real world to the metaverse:

In addition, content created on DNABLOCK is compatible with any device. That means you can share your avatars and animations with mobile and PC users.

Activities

What can you do with these tools, and who needs DNABLOCK? So, there are three types of activities:

BUILD - create your avatar, not matter photorealistic or stylized. For example, you can turn your BAYC NFT into a full-fledged 3D character. The avatar is available for the games and platforms that support Replikant. Also, you can play with it on the site. In addition, you can create locations and even essentially mini-worlds as an environment and background for a movie.

PERFORM - not enough to create an avatar. You can also animate it. With the animation marketplace and motion capture, your character becomes alive. That opens new possibilities for content-makers: for example, your BAYC will be able to dance or even speak to ou audience. Add the virtual location, and you'll get a virtual concert or movie for TikTok.

PUBLISH - why not share the created content? You can stream your avatar, create mini-films with multiple characters in your location, or even produce NFT collections with animated characters. These NFTs can be used in other worlds or blockchain games which means they have a practical value.

By the way, the Nifty Ape Nation NFT-collection was created with DNABLOCK. These are cool and well-animated avatars for Nifty Ape Nation members. The project plans to evolve into an animated content platform and later into P2E and Metaverse. However, this is another story, and you can find it here.

Token

There is no information about native DNABLOCK tokens on the site and on social accounts. Of course, it's because of the pre-early development. The team first decided to make a product and then go to public sale and monetize it.

It is only a matter of time before you start a DNABLOCK token. These cool animations and locations will not be free, and a token is an easiest and most effective way to monetize a blockchain project. So follow the announcements and wait for information about $DNA.

Roadmap

Project's tokenomics

There are no tokenomics. Yes, developers just don't create tokenomics yet. I guess for seed-investors don't need these boring diagrams and charts.

Strengths of DNABLOCK

Powerful investors: DNABLOCK received $8.2M from Animoca Brands, Alumni Ventures, LD Capital, and other funds (19 investors in total). The amount is not very impressive, but it is only a seed round, so everything is still ahead.

Product demonstration: there are several videos and images on the site, where you can see the process of creation of the avatar, performances, and created location.

The successful use-case: Nifty Ape Nation best demonstrates the platform's capabilities and potential. At a minimum, P2E can use it to create start NFT for their projects, and creators release their NFT-avatar collections. Faster and simpler.

Verified team: the leading team members are represented with their socials. By the way, the chief strategic officer of the project is the former head of YouTube's virtual reality - Scott Brook.

Weaknesses of DNABLOCK

There is no roadmap: it is unclear what the team has already done, what they plan to do, and when the social/market activity will start. All I can do is create the project's horoscope to know its future.

Absent information about token and tokenomics: is normal since there was only a seed round. But for private, they already need detailed tokenomics and native tokens with utilitarian functions. That allows investors to predict the value and market dynamics of the token.

Closed beta test: beta test announced on the site, but only those who fill the form and wait for the developer's reply will be able can try it. It is not a gap, but open access to the Site functions (at least in demo mode) would significantly increase the interest of potential customers and users.

Almost unknown socials: less than 1k followers on Twitter and 800 on Instagram. Twitter was started in 2018, but there are monthly breaks between tweets. I'm even cant comment on that. The good news is that 98% of followers are true.

Conclusions

You probably have a question, why am I choosing DNABLOCK for analysis? No roadmap, almost no socials activity, and not even a token. But it appeared on our radar because it's pre-early. And what's interesting is that it's pre-early with a nearly finished product.

While the project is little known, it has a low entrance threshold. Actually, DNABLOCK has no entry at all, but when they start an effective promotion, there will be an ambassador program, IDO, whitelists, and other profitable activities.

You need to add DNABLOCK to your projects list and follow its development and growth.

The site has a potentially huge practical value - it offers an ecosystem product that can be integrated into the metaverses structure and forge the NFT market.
