Planet Mojo Review: P2E from high Ligue
P2E, again, seriously? Ask you. And I will answer - yes, Planet Mojo is another P2E, but this time, not just a "press enter to earn" with primitive casual mechanics like "match-3", but a creative project with grand ambitions. How can these ambitions be realized, and how will Planet Mojo touch the heart of an experienced blockchain gamer?

What is Planet Mojo
Planet Mojo is a P2E project in the Polygon network, offering PvP-battles, NFT, and land earning. All for what we love P2E, but if said true, all that make many gamers and P2E hunters bored.
The Planet Mojo is a dynamic game world divided into Biomes (lands) and a few gameplay modes. The land is a home base for the main character - Mojo. You must upgrade your Mojo to participate in quests, tournaments, PvP fights, and other events.
Mojo is the player's main character, and also it works like NFT. Mojo is linked with different plants and divided into several classes. At the start of the game, developers will launch 9999 NFTs, called Moj-Seeds, which will evolve into full-fledged 3D characters.
Activities
Planet Mojo includes several game modes for single and clan activities. At the start, it is planned to launch 2 game modes:
Land playing - activity on your native land (Biome). Here, the player's Mojo collects resources, crafts NFTs, and protects Biome from intrusions. In other words, in Biome mode, you need to ger Lands resources, upgrade the team and Mojos, and craft all types of NFTs to sell it in the native marketplace.
The main characteristics of the Biome - are the type and rarity. They affect the nature and quantity of land resources and the available updates. Only Forest Biomes will be available at the start.
Mojo Melee - is an "autochess" PvP mode. You expose your Mojo team and then watch your team and enemies team fight. I think you saw that gameplay mode in Dota Autochess.
The team for Mojo Melee includes your Mojo and 4 Clan Champions. The player forms a team just before the battle. Win that player in which team alive at least one character.
Another way of earning is the native NFT marketplace, on which you can sell, buy, rent or lease your NFTs. By the way, the NFT is not only the Lands and Mojos - at the start, it is also the Clan Champions, Battle Stones (talk about it later), and Moj-Seeds.
The main earn model is clear - mine resources on the Lands or get it from PvP, use resources to craft and upgrade NFTs, and then sell it at a high price on the native marketplace.
Tokens
The economy of Planet Mojo consists of several levels and includes several currencies:
The MOJ token ($MOJ) - is a native project's token. The functionality includes staking, government, and NFT exchange on the native marketplace. And, of course, you will speculate with it on the DEX and CEX.
The Ore - is an in-game resource/currency. It needs to upgrade all NFTs, including Biomes, Mojo, or Champions. The ore helps to boost Land resource mining and craft BattleStones. It is also a reward currency for quests, PvP, and other activities.
BattleStones - are special NFTs that are used for tournaments participation. BattleStones can be bought or crafted in your Biome.
You can only earn $MOJ at a tournament, so BattleStones may be the most popular NFT and upgraded team characters.
Roadmap
The Planet Mojo Roadmap is designed until 2024 with the ultimate goal of a full-fledged Mojo Metaverse. BUT - this is the case when the project is actual at an early stage of development. So far, the team has only:
In this quarter, we should see the droppings of Mojo and Biomes NFTs and the airdrops of native tokens. The alpha version of the main product will appear at the end of 2022, and the complete gameplay - at the start of 2023.
Project's tokenomics
The MOJ token main metrics are as follows:
And no, I didn't miss anything. It's just all the information presented in the Whitepaper. Many key metrics are missing, such as price and liquidity ratios. The balance can shift to any category of investors, so we need to follow any tokenomics changes.
The strengths of Planet Mojo
Okay, we're looking at another P2E with ambitions and a beautiful website. Why pay attention to this project? Planet Mojo has several powerful trumps that increase its chances of success:
Technical base - the platform will run on Polygon, which means cheap transactions. In addition, the game is built on Unity, so we wait for quality graphics + the ability to play directly in the browser.
Verified team - the whole project team, is presented on the site with links to their social. The team also includes the founder of the studio developer - Mike Levin, with the experience of releasing several successful projects, like "Sam and Max: This Time It's Virtual".
Powerful Bakers - the investor's project list includes Animoca Brands, Republic, Alameda Research, Polygon Studios, and other top funds. Whitepaper also features several Advisers, which adds extra + to karma.
Accessibility - running in a browser means a simple connection with a wallet and multi-platform, easy and fast start. The developers also promise to design the platform like "click to play" to make the game more accessible and clear for no-cryptos.
And of course, I can't forget that Planet Mojo pretends in the AAA project. So, if not P2E, at least beautiful graphics and creative concepts can attract players' attention.
Weaknesses of Planet Mojo
Okay, now the Weaknesses - there are also there, especially given the super-early development stage:
No development results - well, there is nothing except for arts, website, and infographics in WhitePaper. Maybe more details we'll see during the NFT drop.
Unfinished tokenomics - no critical metrics would allow estimating the native token potential. However, this is also the consequence of early-stage.
Weak social networks - 13K Followers on Twitter, 2.6K on Telegram. Not the best results. But need to note that the Twitter page is active, and 95% of followers - are real.
And the main risk - Planet Mojo is trying to make a "bang" with a declining trend. P2E-boom is finished, and most of the really good X's stay behind. If Planet Mojo were released now, I think it could catch several more market waves, but challenging to predict what the dApp and P2E market would look like a year later.
I'm not saying that the project is failing, but the P2E downtrend could seriously reduce its potential for investors.
Conclusions
Planet Mojo is a creative and high-quality P2E project with a good team and powerful bakers. If you look at the level of gameplay and graphics, you see a candidate for "Rockstart" in blockchain gaming, but for now, it is only the declared level without actual results. Planet Mojo does not have well-developed tokenomics yet, which makes it difficult to assess the project's project's investment potential. But all this, of course, will appear during the development, and this is worth watching.
The more difficult question is, who will need Planet Mojo in the long run?
