Creating a test NFT Star

Open Beta Test: STAGE I

In this testing, the VORPAL team provides an opportunity for everyone to get an unforgettable experience of creating and improving their own NFT Star in the VORPAL gameverse.

Available platforms:

• PC/MAC
• Tablets(Apple/Android)
• Mob(Apple/Android)

!This guide shows in detail how to create and upgrade a star in the VORPAL gameverse on PC/MAC. On all other devices, stars are created and improved in the same way.

In order to create an NFT Star in the VORPAL gameverse, you will need:

1. Crypto wallet: MetaMask
2. Test tokens for transactions: tBNB
3. Test tokens for creating stars: PLASMA

Test tokens for transactions: tBNB

Our STARMAP version 0.3 fully supports all EVM compliant blockchains. At this stage, testing is taking place on the BNB Chain blockchain, or rather, on the new second level of this blockchain called opBNB.

To make transactions within these blockchains, test BNB tokens are required: tBNB.

To get test tBNB tokens you need to:

1. Join the official BNB CHAIN discord server: >>>here<<<
2. Pick a Role, if you first time there

1. Then go to channel: "testnet-faucet"

1. Enter character "/" in the input field
2. Select a command from the dropdown list "faucet"

1. Open MetaMask and copy your wallet address

1. Paste the copied address into the "adress" input field and press "enter"

If you did everything right, the bot will reply to you with a message about successfully sending 0.5 tBNB to the specified address.

!If something doesn't work for you, you can look into the "faucet-guide" channel, it describes in detail how to use the command correctly "/faucet"

Next, you need to transfer the received tBNB test tokens from the BNB CHAIN test network to the opBNB test network.

To do this, we need to use the bridge service: >>>here<<<

1. Click on the "Connect Wallet" button in the upper right corner of the page

1. Choosing a MetaMask wallet

1. In the appeared window of our wallet, click on the "Next" button

1. And then on the button "Connect"

!If you don't have a BNB testnet added to your wallet, this site will prompt you to add a testnet first and then switch to it.

1. In this case, in the MetaMask window that appears, first click on "Approve"

1. And then click on the button "Switch network"

1. Next, in the BNB input field, specify the amount of tBNB that we want to transfer to the opBNB network, in our case - 0.4
2. Click on the "Deposit" button

1. In the MetaMask window that opens, confirm the transaction by clicking on the "Comfirm" button

After a couple of seconds, if you did everything right, a window about a successful transaction will appear.

!Transferring test tokens from one network to another usually takes from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on network congestion.

Star creation test tokens: PLASMA

In order to create NFT Stars in the VORPAL universe, PLASMA tokens are required. In the main network, in order to receive PLASMA tokens, it will be necessary to stake the DAO tokens of the VORPAL project - VAO.

However, in order to simplify testing, the VORPAL team decided to make a "faucet" for PLASMA tokens inside the new version of STARMAP.

Accordingly, in order to receive PLASMA test tokens, you must:

1. Visit the STARMAP website >>>here<<<
2. On the page that opens, click on the "RUN WINDOWED" button

1. Then on the "RUN" button(5)

1. Click on the wallet icon in the top right corner

1. In the MetaMask window that appears, click on the "Next" button

!If you don't have an opBNB testnet added to your wallet, our site will prompt you to add a testnet first and then switch to it.

1. In this case, in the MetaMask window that appears, first click on "Approve"

1. And then click on "Switch network"

If you did everything correctly, your wallet number and the "GET PLASMA" button will be displayed instead of your wallet.

!If your wallet number is not displayed, try clicking on the wallet icon again.

1. Click on the button in the menu: Get PLASMA

1. In the window that appears, specify the desired amount
2. Click on the "GET PLASMA" button

!You can create an unlimited amount of PLASMA, but for the initial tests, 10 PLASMA will be enough for you.

!If you don't have enough PLASMA tokens, you can always click on the GET PLASMA button and "add" the required amount.

1. In the MetaMask window that appears, click on the "Confirm" button

Creating an NFT Star

Now that we have test tokens for making transactions and test tokens for creating stars, we can go directly to the most interesting stage - Creating an NFT Star.

To create an NFT Star, you need:

1. Go to the STARMAP website: https://starmap.vorpal.finance
2. Switch to "Phantom" mode

To switch to the "Phantom" mode, you must first "open" the bottom menu, and then click on the "Phantom" icon

1. In order to move around the map, click anywhere inside the galaxy and the camera will fly up to the star closest to the clicked place, as well as show the nearest stars in a certain radius.

!At this stage, you can name the star whatever you like, but keep in mind that the star search is case-sensitive.

1. Come up with a unique name
2. Click on the "APPROVE" button

1. In the MetaMask window that appears, click on the Max button, or enter the number "10" in the input field (This number means the number of PLASMA tokens that you allow the VORPAL contract to use)
2. Then click on the "NEXT" button

1. Then click on "Approve"

Now that you have given permission to the VORPAL contract to use your PLASMA tokens, you can complete the Star creation process.

1. Click on the "CREATE" button

1. In the MetaMask window that appears, click on the "Confirm" button

After a couple of seconds, if you did everything right, the mode should change to "Real" and the camera should fly up to your new NFT Star.

!All new stars are level 1 by default. Each star has a certain number of unique characteristics. One of them is "Slots", which is the number of potential planets you can place around the star in the future.

1. Click on the "Slots" icon to see how many "Slots" your new star has.

Stars can reach a maximum of 5 levels. To improve your star by 1 level, you must completely fill the "experience" scale with PLASMA tokens.

Each subsequent level requires more PLASMA tokens than the previous one.

To upgrade the NFT Star, you need:

1. While in star mode, click on the "BOOST EXP." to activate the process of upgrading your star

By default, the amount slider is set to 50% of the required amount of XP/PLASMA to the next level.

1. Drag the amount slider to the far right - 100%
2. Then click on the "BOOST EXP."

1. In the MetaMask window that appears, click on the "Confirm" button

Now when your star has enough experience, the "LEVEL UP" button is activated

1. Click on the button "LEVEL UP"

1. In the MetaMask window that appears, confirm the transaction by clicking on the "Confirm" button

If you did everything right, your star will improve to level 2, and along with this, the number of "slots" for future planets and other characteristics will increase.

!To return back to the "Galaxy" level, you must:

1. Expand left menu on PC/MAC or bottom menu on Mob if not expanded
2. Click on the "Galaxy" icon

!At this stage, stars can be upgraded up to level 3
